Policies

The $75 commission includes one custom song based on the confirmed brief and two distinct musical versions of that song. Both versions are delivered to the customer's private Vault and both may be kept.

Delivery is normally within 3–5 business days after payment and receipt of a usable brief. If we need clarification, the timeline may pause until the customer responds. Dates are estimates, not guarantees.

The customer confirms that the submitted names, stories, photos, references, and other materials are theirs to use or were provided with permission. Requests may not be unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or intended to impersonate a real person without permission.

Songs may be created through human creative direction together with digital and AI-assisted music-production tools. We do not promise that either version will qualify for copyright registration, be exclusive in every musical characteristic, or avoid all resemblance to common genre conventions.

Subject to these terms and any third-party platform rules, the customer receives a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, share, synchronize, and commercially use both delivered versions. This license does not cover material the customer did not have permission to submit, third-party trademarks, or the underlying production tools and models.

A Vault is private by link, not by password. Anyone who receives the link may be able to listen or download, so customers should share it carefully.

We collect the information needed to make and deliver an order, including names, email addresses, the customer's story and preferences, dedication details, order status, and delivery files. The payment provider processes card details; Songsmith receives payment confirmation and related order information rather than full card numbers.

We use this information only to operate the service, create the commissioned song, process payment, send order messages, provide support, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or publish customer stories or songs unless the customer separately chooses to share them.

Service providers may process information on our behalf, including Base44, payment and email providers, private-file storage, and music-production services. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, and legal or accounting requirements.

To request access, correction, or deletion, email studio@makeacustomsong.com. Some transaction records may be retained where required by law.

Because each order is a customized digital service, sales are final after checkout except where a refund is required by law or Songsmith is unable to fulfill the order. Contact us promptly if an order was placed by mistake; cancellation is not guaranteed once production has started.

We want you to love your song. One complimentary revision round is included with every commission — if the first delivery doesn't capture the tone or misses a detail from your confirmed brief, contact us within seven days of delivery and we'll rework it at no additional charge. This revision is based on the original confirmed brief and does not include a new style, rewritten brief, or complete recomposition.

If a delivered song misstates a factual detail that appeared clearly in the confirmed brief, the correction is included as part of this revision round.
